Last week I celebrated my birthday and with each new year I feel more and more blessed. I am pretty excited for what this new year has in store for me! This birthday, I spent the morning doing a lot of self-reflection. I reminisced on my younger days and had a flash back to when I was 13 or 14 having a conversation with my friends in the courtyard of my middle school. We talked about where we wanted to go for college, what we wanted to do for a living, who we were going to marry (anyone of the members from the R&B group Immature), how many kids we were going to have, all the places we'd travel, and all the things we'd do. The funny part about the conversation was that we planned on doing it all by the end of our twenties because of course in a 13 year old's mind, that was old. I'm always so grateful for my childhood memories because I was blessed with a great one. Though most of those childhood aspirations have fallen by the wayside, I am constantly amused by the path God has put me on. It is the polar opposite of anything I thought it would be. Nevertheless, I am happy and constantly evolving as I think we all should. It's healthy to want to be a better person than you were last year, last month, last week. That is definitely something I strive for everyday! I'm putting it out into the universe that "this will be my year"! Even if that means "my year" for new beginnings and new experiences, it shall be! In addition to that, everyday I will WAKE, I will PRAY, and I will SLAY honey!!! Yassssss!!!

It actually says "Wake.Pray.Slay.Repeat" but some of it is tucked into my skirt.
One of my friends created this fabulous t-shirt and I was like "Oh yes, I need one of those!" when she showed it to me!
Let's take a moment out for these awesome half-shaded sunnies! Cute right!?!? When I first saw the Chanel half shaded sunglasses I immediately fell in love. As expected the price was way too high. Like....for real for real!
Lucky for me, I found these beauties for a miniscule fraction of the cost online and they look just as fab if you ask me.
I felt amazing in this look! Turned a lot of heads and received several compliments too! I had to throw on my leopard booties because we all know, leopard is the new neutral, and they just up'd the ante on my look!
